\"musicphoto\"<\/a>I have to have live music in my life, even if it\u2019s just practising\u00a0at home.\u00a0 I haven\u2019t dedicated my life to music, but I have been a dedicated musician most of my life. I\u2019ve learned different\u00a0music in the different traditions; I\u2019m a classically trained vocalist and pianist, I learned guitar by ear, and percussion in\u00a0the oral tradition.\u00a0 My\u00a0roots are folk but I enjoy playing a wide variety of music including,\u00a0classical, rock,\u00a0Latin, African and I have a special\u00a0kid friendly repetoire.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tonia has volunteered at a number of community events as a musician including:\u00a0 The Coldest Night of the Year Walk (Burnaby Task Force on Homelessness), The Burnaby Volunteer’s Festival, Kensington Festival, South Burnaby Boys & Girls Club 60th Anniversary, The Greater Vancouver Zoo’s 40th Anniversary, The BC Hydro Safety Rodeo, Royal Oak and Rumble Festival (ROAR)\u00a0etc.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
